Our approach to environmental and social responsibility is more than a commitment; it is an important part of how we operate. We are proud to have achieved the EcoVadis Platinum Medal, placing us among the top 1% of companies in our sector based on Ecovadis’ independent assessment.
The EcoVadis Platinum rating is based on a detailed evaluation of our performance across four key areas: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. This recognition reflects progress across many areas of our operations, from how we source raw materials to how we engage with partners and deliver our product
From sourcing practices informed by environmental considerations to responsible supply chain practices and initiatives aimed at reducing carbon emissions, many areas of our business has been shaped by our belief that high performance and responsibility go hand in hand.
Our journey toward more sustainable solutions began with the launch of “we.respect”, our internal sustainability manifesto. It laid the foundation for integrating environmental and social responsibility into every aspect of our business. Since then, this philosophy has driven how we innovate, how we select materials, and how we collaborate across the industry.
One of the most significant results of this commitment is our EVO range, a product line made from GRS-certified recycled PET yarn. Originally introduced as an alternative developed with environmental considerations in mind, to our most popular textiles, the EVO line has evolved so much so that some of our best-selling products are now available only in EVO versions.
But our efforts go beyond product development. Sustainability at Berger Textiles also means making thoughtful, long-term decisions about how we operate, ensuring ethical standards, minimizing environmental impact, and continuously improving our supply chain practices.
We are proud that our portfolio is backed by internationally recognised certifications such OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) (Global Organic Textile Standard), and GRS (Global Recycled Standard). These validate our commitment to maintaining the highest levels of environmental and social responsibility—without compromising quality.
